Dear loved one,
This is an excerpt from an article written by my friend Ayodele Smart.
Purpose:
Purpose is the result, the end, aim or goal of an action intentionally
undertaken. In human life, there is a fundamental need for guiding
ideals that give meaning to our actions - and this fundamental need
determines the pattern and the direction at which the result are
achieved. Purpose is central to a good human life. Helen Keller wrote
that happiness comes from "fidelity to a worthy purpose". I run with
purpose in every step. Purpose is what gives life a meaning.
Desire:
Your desire is the key that unlocks the energy within to make things
happen for you. It's also the key to a long and interesting life.
Nothing stops the man who desires to achieve worthwhile goals in life.
The desire accomplished is sweet to the soul.
Decision:
It is your decision that determines your destiny. Your limitation is a
function of your decision. The scripture says," You can do all things
through Christ who strengthens you".
Self-discipline:
"Self-discipline is a form of freedom. Freedom from laziness, lethargy,
expectations of others, weakness, fear and doubt. Self-discipline is
the ability to get yourself to take action regardless of your state of
mind (emotional). Self-discipline can empower you to overcome any
addiction, wipe out procrastination, disorder, and ignorance. It's a
state of mind; you could call it character in action. 'Every athlete
exercises self-control in all things"
This
week afford us another opportunity to utilise the tools in our life
kits as we strive to achieve worthwhile goals and greatness in our life
endeavours. Be committed to these life virtues and it's just a matter of
time the evidence of profiting will appear to all.
Have a great week!
Shalom!
