Dear loved one,
'To realize the value of a sister or brother, ask someone who doesn't have one
To realize the value of ten years, ask a newly divorced couple
To realize the value of four years, ask a graduate from a college
To realize the value of one year, ask a student who failed a final exam
To realize the value of nine months, ask a mother who had a stillborn
To realize the value of one month, ask a mother who had a premature baby
To realize the value of one week, ask the editor of a weekly newspaper
To realize the value of one-second, ask a person who survived an accident
To realize the value of one minute, ask a person who missed the train, bus or plane
To realize the value of one hour, ask a person who just survived a stroke'
The writer of this note is unknown but we can glean the valuable lessons. We should consistently put value on each virtue given to us in equal measures: Time, Treasures, Talents and Relationships. The use of our opportunities determines how well we reap the benefits. Time as our greatest resource cannot be reversed. We must treasure every opportunity and maximise them with each one considered special. We don't have to wait till you miss a friend, colleague, family members before realizing how valuable they are. Place a call to a loved one this week to mend a broken relationship and tell them how valuable they are.'Everyone who wants a friend in others must first show them friendly'. There is a King and a Fool in every person the one we speak to responds to us in life!
Have a great week!
Shalom!
